In the winter, the Middleton Fire District will accept ice rink fill requests in our jurisdiction. To create an ice block for skating, firefighters will flood a portion of a yard or property. It is recommended having a section of land already set up and to have someone home while firefighters fill the rink.
Due to the cost of the water, fuel, and the use of the equipment (wear and tear) our set costs are $350 for up to the first 10,000 gallons of water and an additional $150 for every 3,000 gallons thereafter (partial load included). In addition, a donation to Middleton Fire Co. No. 1 needs to be made for the efforts of the firefighters that make this opportunity happen.
