MIFD Volunteer Opportunities

We are looking for compassionate individuals who value community service and are interested in making a difference in the community.  The Middleton Fire District accepts applications year-round for firefighters, rehab technicians and fire corps personnel.  If you are interested in volunteering with the Middleton Fire Department for any of these positions, please complete an application.  Once your application is received it will be reviewed.  If approved, you will be contacted for an interview with department staff.

Volunteer Positions

FIREFIGHTERS: No prior fire experience is necessary to apply. All volunteer firefighters who join our team will attend the MIFD’s recruit academy, which is designed to teach new firefighters the necessary skills needed for the job.

REHAB TECHNICIANS: A rehab technician plays a crucial role in assisting with the rehabilitation and well-being of firefighters during and after emergency incidents. Duties include rehab area set up, assist members with hydration and nutrition needs on scene, etc.

FIRE CORPS: Fire Corps personnel assist the department with their specialized skills in a non-emergency capacity.
